KOMPAS.com- A total of 64 principals of Public Middle Schools (SMP) in the Regency Indragiri Hulu (Inhu) Riau resign.
This triggered many parties, one of them was the Head of Inspectorate of Inhu Boyke Sitinjak.
“I just heard that in Indonesia there were all district school principals who resigned,” Boyke said in surprise.

Inspectorate investigates alleged extortion
Even though they did not get complete information, the inspectorate got the news that they were extorted by irresponsible persons.
“Among them is information that they (the principal) were extorted by law enforcement officials. This is very heavy information, whether this really happened or not, we will conduct further investigations,” Boyke said.
The Inspectorate promised to investigate the allegation.
“This is a formidable challenge for the Inspectorate on how to build better and cleaner areas,” Boyke said.

Not only the inspectorate, the resignation of 64 junior high school principals in Inhu Riau also surprised the Education Office.
Dhu Education Education Officer Inhu Ibrahim Alimin allowed the incident.
“I as the Head of Service was very surprised, because we only entered junior high school on July 13, 2020 yesterday during the Covid-19 pandemic. Then, there were diplomas and report cards that had to be signed,” Ibrahim said.
According to Ibrahim, some of them went to the Inhu Education Office.
The school principals handed over many folders containing letters of resignation.
Suspected because it is not convenient to manage BOS funds

According to the confession, they were not comfortable managing BOS funds and asked to become ordinary teachers.
“The reason for resigning is because they admit that they are disturbed and are not comfortable managing the boss’s funds. While they are not managing boss’s funds, there are not many.

Although the resignation letter was received, Ibrahim could not confirm whether their resignation was approved.
That depends on the regent’s decision.
“Whether the Regent agrees to release the duty depends on the Regent later. So I submit to them to maintain conduciveness. Then, before the release of the assignment letter, I beg them to continue working, because of the pity of our children. But it depends on them again, “said Ibrahim.
