Palombelli added that he had also had “an avalanche of solidarity” on the part of many people who took the right direction what he meant, but which sounded just like a dangerous victim blaming: “The important thing is to understand what happens before the femicide, with what mechanisms the violent on both sides can block and stem before this terrible fatal outcome. This seems to me a topic of great interest because otherwise we would not be there all our life to count the red shoes. We have to wonder what happens in a relationship if your love becomes your abuser or even your killer. I explained myself badly, I apologized but the basic question is: what behaviors we can block before anger turns violence. This is the theme that interests me, my fault if I did not explain myself well, different is what was then unleashed ». And he then added, regarding the potential killers: “I believe that the deterrent of the sentence is not enough because as you have seen many of these people take their own lives. We can work on the punishment, all those issues that concern the jurists and that I cannot be and decide it but the real issue is: what kind of relationship is established between the victim and the executioner. In my opinion, we can’t say “let’s not talk about it” out of respect for the victims, quite the contrary it must be done out of respect for the victims».

The journalist, who in recent days on Facebook she also said she was a victim of defamation and ready to go to court, he concluded his speech on the radio as follows: «On a personal level I believe that you have to learn from everything, you have to be careful to use words and this was one of my failings. However we must also learn to understand what is happening in this country where, on the one hand it is thought that it has become the most permissive country in the world where everyone can do everything, on the other hand without asking, without clarifying these waves of hatred and indignation, of insults mount. It is something that has happened to others before me and will happen to others after, but as a journalist I also want to ask myself about the limits of this system. The violence that has been exercised, the incitement to hatred against me, also tells that something about this country, there is always something to learn ».
