I don’t want to test myself to be stupid, it’s here for all – eXtra.cz

Coronavirus has hit hard in a number of industries, one of the most affected being culture. For example, musician Janek Ledecký (58) lost all sources of income for many months. That is why he has been one of the biggest critics of government regulations from the beginning. Now, with a number of disintegrations, musicians are shining for better times, but Ledecký is still concerned about the impact that coronavirus will have on society in the coming years. “NI want to be tested to death wherever I go. To the pub, to the barber, to the concert, to the theater. That’s really not the way to go, “says Ledecký v show Limousine with Míra Hejda.

The coronavirus epidemic is declining in the Czech Republic and there is more or less disintegration practically every week. Many people can finally rest, and all the shops and most services have opened. Musician Janek Ledecký but he doesn’t see the situation too rosy. He is bothered by the strict rules for concerts, which will continue for a long time in a limited regime and under strict conditions.

“I’m still watching the light at the end of the tunnel, and still nothing. I am afraid that this will become a precedent. With the fact that they will allow us concerts and events on the condition that we will all be tested all the time by being the antigenic tests they bought, “ says Janek Ledecký in the show Limousine with Míra Hejda at ÓČKO STAR.

Mandatory tests for coronavirus will be faced with people almost everywhere in the coming months, which frightens Ledecký. “The Ministry of Health thinks this will be the way to go. But I don’t want to test myself to death wherever I go. To the pub, to the barber, to the concert, to the theater. That’s really not the way to go. “ the popular musician is angry, and at the same time he is afraid that because of the fear of covid, many people will not want to go to the cinemas or theaters.

We are losing freedom

At the same time, it is precisely the culture that needs the audience so much. For most artists, this is the only source of livelihood, but time is not bad for them. Ledecký is no different, he has been out of work for many months. “Culture is on the last stage today. And there is no signal or indication that this should change soon. I want to keep some of my way of life that I was used to. “ complains musician.

The current situation reminds Ledecký of the last century, when the Communists ruled in Czechoslovakia. “We gradually let ourselves be cut one (freedom) after another, and what is worse, we begin to get used to it. There is more totalitarianism than there was in total. And the whole thing is obscured by the fact that we have to protect the risk group. So let’s inoculate them all. And at that moment, there will be no reason to blackmail the rest of us and the rest of the world, “says Ledecký. However, vaccination in the Czech Republic is stuck, so artists will probably have to wait many more months before they can relax.
