Witnesses report seeing a “large yellow flash” followed by a loud bang. It shook many buildings and houses. Officials report it was a house explosion.

There are reports of burnt people, strong flames and thick clouds of smoke rising from the scene.

According to the latest reports, the explosion occurred when representatives of the American services entered the building to conduct a search ordered by the court.

“Such a story in my neighborhood. Explosion of a house in Arlington, Virginia after the police tried to execute a search warrant,” writes RMF FM’s American correspondent Paweł Żochowski.

The police, fire brigade and representatives of law enforcement agencies arrived on site.

Rescue teams are also present on site.

The rising smoke and fire could be seen from very far away.

Around the building that exploded, there are other buildings inhabited by local people.
