A new mid-range Huawei smartphone was introduced in China earlier today with the Nova 8 SE Life Edition. This is a scaled-down version of last year’s Nova 8 SE.
There’s a slightly larger 6.6-inch screen with FHD + resolution up front although it’s an LCD screen instead of an OLED panel. The teardrop shaped notch has been replaced with a perforated cutout for the 16MP selfie camera.
The rear cameras are also downgraded with a 48 MP main shooter alongside two 2 MP modules for macro shots and depth data. There’s a Kirin 710A chipset under the hood paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The battery is 4000mAh and supports 40W fast wired charging. Huawei Nova 8 SE Life is available in Magic Night Black and Frost Silver colors with a retail price of CNY 1,899 ($ 292). The device is available in Huawei’s online store and partner resellers.
