HP launches its lightest consumer laptop ever

HP has launched the Pavilion Aer 13, a new extremely lightweight laptop for the consumer market, the lightest so far from the company. It weighs at most 0.99 kilos but can also be slightly lighter depending on which choice of processor and other things you do.

The computer has a 13-inch screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio and “2.5k” resolution (2560 x 1600 pixels), just like Apple’s 13-inch computers. However, it is not particularly bright with 400 nits, and only covers the srgb color space.

Like several other really light and thin laptop models released this year, HP uses only AMD’s power-efficient Ryzen 5000 processors. The computer can be selected with up to Ryzen 7 5800U. HP points out that it meets the hardware requirements for the upcoming Windows 11.

Several parts of the computer are made of recycled plastic and the entire packaging is also made of recycled materials and can be recycled again.

Pavilion Aero 13 will be released in July and costs from SEK 8,000.
