Mexico City. – Each update of WhatsApp brings with it surprises and this last one will not be the exception, since it is expected that new reactions will appear that, in the mere style of Facebook, will give us the facility to post hearts, likes, faces of astonishment, sadness and others to the messages we receive through said application.
Recently, the owner of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg, wrote through his Facebook account that the reactions were already a reality, news that millions of users were waiting for.
How can you activate the reactions?
It is key to mention that in Mexico this update has not reached all phones, but as soon as possible, each person will be able to enter the PlayStore or AppStore of their mobile, where it will be enough to update the WhatsApp application.
In some cases, it is not necessary to go through this entire process, since the platform, by itself, can receive the newest version on the market simply by being connected to a wireless network.
What reactions will be available?
At the moment there will only be six reactions available and they are the following:
- Hand with thumb up (like).
- Red heart.
- Face laughing out loud.
- Surprised face.
- crying face
- Praying hands.
How to react to WhatsApp messages?
Once inside the platform and positioned on the chat of one of your contacts or groups, you can react to any message by pressing and holding the text to which you want to post a reaction.
After that, a pop-up window will be displayed with the six available emojis to choose from and there it will be enough to press the one you want to use.
Once this is done, the reaction will appear below the message and will be visible to you and the contact with whom you have the conversation.

Not only will the reactions arrive thanks to this update, since it will also be possible to send files of up to 2GB, it will also be possible to integrate a total of 512 people into a single WhatsApp group.
