The embargo on the construction of a hotel on Praia da Memória, in Perafita, was signed “a few days ago” by the Mayor of Matosinhos, Luísa Salgueiro. According to the decision, everything that has been built so far will have to be demolished by the promoter himself, Mário Ascenção, who will also have to restore the original conditions of the land.

“I declared the nullity of the license and, as a result, the embargo of the work,” said Luísa Salgueiro, questioned by the JN. The period of prior hearing to hear the businessman has already ended, added the mayor, assuring that the order to interrupt the construction “is definitive”.
