Honda’s SUV seems to be attracting visitors at the 2024 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS). This is the model that is getting the most attention.
Honda also took part in the IIMS 2024 exhibition which was held recently. New Honda cars were also exhibited at the event. Of all models, SUVs are the best sellers. At least 70 percent of Honda car sales at IIMS 2024 are dominated by SUV models.
In total, Honda recorded sales of 1,297 units throughout IIMS 2024, based on sales made at the Honda IIMS 2024 booth and having fulfilled administrative procedures with booking fees.
The largest contribution to Honda SUV sales came from the Honda WR-V model, followed by the Honda HR-V and Honda BR-V N7X Edition. The Honda BR-V N7X Edition is the latest model launched at IIMS 2024. The Honda BR-V N7X Edition is equipped with a dark chrome front grille, tailgate spoiler, aerokit, black rims, as well as black rear-view mirror housings. With this update, the BR-V is now similar to the N7X concept
Apart from the SUV model, the Honda Brio and other models also make a significant contribution to Honda’s sales.
“Honda SUV models are still models that are very popular with consumers at the Honda IIMS 2024 booth. We think that this year’s IIMS show is quite refreshing for the market regarding consumer demand at the beginning of the year and we hope this trend can continue into the following months,” said Sales & Marketing and After Sales Director of PT Honda Prospect Motor Yusak Billy in a press release received by detikOto.
Apart from recording good order results, Honda products also received various awards at the IIMS event this year. The New Honda Brio RS has again won the award as Best City Car IIMS for two years in a row. Apart from that, Honda’s hybrid product, the All New Honda CR-V RS e:HEV, which was just launched at GIIAS 2023, won Best SUV IIMS 2024.
The Honda Civic RS was also selected as Best Sedan IIMS 2024. This award was obtained based on a comprehensive assessment using various criteria by judges from media representatives and expertise in the automotive sector.
