Homophobia, a minor attacked by 2 in their twenties at the Milano Pride: ambulance rescue

It happened just a short distance from that same stage of the Arco della Pace which demanded rights for all and above all the approval, as soon as possible, of a law such as the Zan bill which aims to combat homophobic violence. A day of joy and commitment. And, instead, when the Pride square was still celebrating, a 12 year old of Egyptian origin who was trying to reach the Pride was attacked. It happened around 8.30 pm when, inside the Sempione Park, two twenty-year-old Italians first began to insult him for his sexual orientation and then to hit him. Slaps behind the head, the first reconstructions say, and finally a last gesture of contempt: an attacker would have thrown the spritz he was drinking at him.

Digos is investigating the case. One of the ambulances that were present on the spot also intervened, around an Arch of Peace colored by the thousands of the people of the Pride. The boy wouldn’t need any treatment. The aggression remains, however. Which hurts even more – if possible – because it comes on the day when Milan celebrated Pride and an open city that invoked: “For the Zan bill the time is up”.

Also for this reason the complaint of Fabio Pellegatta, president of the Cig Arcigay of Milan, is decided. And it turns into an appeal: “While we were celebrating Milan Pride at the Arco della Pace, not far away, in Parco Sempione, a young boy, a minor, who was preparing to participate in the event was cowardly attacked by a group of violent people. The boy was rescued by the ambulances in the square. We express the utmost solidarity with the victim on the part of the CIG Arcigay Milano and the entire network of Milano Pride and we strongly ask, if possible even more, that the Senate approve the law against homotransphobia, the Zan bill: it is urgent ”. More and more.
