– A new legal order regarding the protection of animals must be introduced in Poland; the bill is ready, we count on cross-party support, announced Jarosław Kaczyński, president of PiS on Tuesday. Among the proposals, a ban on keeping animals for fur. Additionally, PiS proposes limiting ritual slaughter, increasing the competences of non-governmental organizations and more frequent inspections of shelters.
Animal protection
– Our formation and I personally believe that a new legal order in the field of animal protection should be introduced in Poland – said Kaczyński on Tuesday at a special press conference.
– The reasons for this are of a humanitarian nature – added the politician. As the PiS president further emphasized, although it is not worth following the example of Western countries in everything, Poland should do so in this respect. – This is an act that will be supported by all good people – said Kaczyński.
