Historian Oleg Sokolov, accused of the murder of graduate student Anastasia Yeshchenko, received a warning from the judge because of the tantrum at the court session.-

As he writes kingdom, the prosecutor suggested that the court hear correspondence between Sokolov and Yeshchenko, but asked to do it behind closed doors so as not to divulge the secret of the defendant’s personal life.-

Oleg Sokolov was outraged by the proposal of the state prosecutor, he said that there are no intimate details in the correspondence, but there is evidence that Yeshchenko was not a “pure, innocent girl,” and “people should see this.”

“This evidence shows what the victim did! What terrible insults she used, what terrible things she wrote to me, how she insulted my children! ” – said Sokolov, turning to a scream.

According to him, the correspondence contains “disgusting and vile” evidence of “what Yeshchenko did.”

The historian turned to the judge and said that if she closes the process, then he will not have the opportunity to rehabilitate himself in the eyes of the public and correct his “terrible image”.

As a result, the judge made a remark to Oleg Sokolov for non-compliance with the order, raising his voice and speaking out to the judge, after which she announced a break.

As Rambler previously reported, in November 2019, the 63-year-old associate professor of St. Petersburg State University Oleg Sokolov was arrested on suspicion of the murder of 24-year-old graduate student Anastasia Yeshchenko. Sokolov made a confession and said that on the day of the murder, a quarrel occurred between him and his lover Yeshenko, as a result of which he shot her out of the sawed-off shotgun four times. To get rid of the body, Sokolov dismembered it and was going to throw the remains into the Moika River.
