High Court denies Dileep’s request to adjourn Atijeevitha’s petition in memory card leak case

Kochi | The High Court rejected Dileep’s request to adjourn the hearing in the petition filed by Atijeevitha in the memory card leak case in the actress assault case.
The High Court rejected Dileep’s request after questioning that no one else had complained about the demand for an investigation and only Dileep had a complaint.
Hearing on Ateejivita’s plea was completed and the court adjourned for order.
Atijeevta demanded a court-supervised investigation into the memory card leak. But Dileep requested that the argument in this petition be postponed.
In the petition, Dileep had alleged that the judge who heard the case had filed a petition with the intention of preventing him from pronouncing the verdict, and by re-examining the witnesses and excluding the prosecutors, the trial had been delayed for a year.

It is only an allegation that the footage on the memory card was leaked. The examination of two witnesses in the forensic lab is to be held in this regard. Therefore, the continuation of the hearing in the petition in the High Court will affect the trial. Dileep stated that the reason why the hearing in the High Court should be adjourned on the petition of Atijeetha can be presented in a sealed cover.

The government also clarified that there is no objection to Atijeehwa’s position that an investigation should be conducted into the memory card leak.
Atijeevi strongly opposed Dileep’s demand. Dileep’s contention that his purpose is to delay the trial is nothing but a false accusation. The Supreme Court has extended the time to complete the trial till next March. As a victim, his fundamental rights must be protected. Someone has deliberately checked the memory card. He also demanded that the accused should be found and action taken if the footage was leaked.

Later, Justice K Babu rejected Dileep’s request to adjourn Atijeetha’s petition. Adv.Ranjith Marare was appointed as amicus curiae to assist the High Court in the case.
