Hi Marc Marquez, How’s the Injury Recovery?

Jakarta

Marc Marquez talk about the injury, at the event MotoGP 2020 took place in MotoGP Styria 2020. How is his recovery at this time?

It is estimated that the Repsol Honda rider still has to pull out for two or three months, until the injury he has suffered is completely healed. In other words, there is a possibility that Marc Marquez will not appear for the rest of the 2020 MotoGP season.

This is because this season’s title will end in the Portuguese MotoGP on November 22, 2020. Or exactly three months after the Styria MotoGP 2020 which was held on Sunday (23/8) yesterday.

Marquez himself has stated that he wants to focus on the injury recovery process. This makes MM93 seem like it won’t push itself and will only take action again after it fully recovers.

Then, the extent of the injury recovery process Marc Marquez so far? This was revealed in an interview with DAZN quoted by GPOne.

“I want to be there, but in a career as a rider we take a lot of risks and in eight years I have never missed a single race. But this is a strange season, the most difficult for me,” said Marquez.

“At first I took the doctors’ advice, they said I could ride the bike and the plates would be fine. They were wrong, but even so I still follow their advice to this day.”

“Was the decision to immediately return to the track (at Jerez) a wrong thing? Yes, but looking at the situation it could still happen when I return to Brno and even in the next races,” he said.

Marc Marquez suffered a fracture of his humerus in the Spanish MotoGP, which is the first MotoGP series this season. He was then operated on and looked like he was going to race in the Andalusian MotoGP in the second series but it was canceled.

The Czech Republic MotoGP was then targeted to be a comeback moment but fate said differently. Marc Marquez was absent again because he had to undergo a second operation on the location of a broken bone due to a broken plate on his arm when he was about to open the window.

Not yet known when he will be able to race again. “I’ve been walking my little sister dogs and practicing, but not with my right hand,” he said, laughing.

“Next week I will continue to practice cardio on a stationary bike. To be honest this is tough, but there are friends around me although of course I miss racing. I just have to be patient,” he said. Marc Marquez.
