Herman Finkers and Carice van Houten have been nominated for a Golden Calf. The comedian, who has a chance to win the prize for the first time, has been nominated for his screenplay of the comedy The Beentjes of Sint-Hildegard. Van Houten has a chance to win two acting prizes, the organization announced on Monday in various tweets announced.
Besides that Finkers can win a prize with The Bones of Saint Hildegard, the film, which is the most-attended film of the year with 700,000 visitors, is also nominated in the categories best film and best editing.
Van Houten has been nominated for the category best actress in a series (Red Light) and Best Actress in a Motion Picture (Instinct). With this, the actress has a chance for a Golden Calf for the eighth and ninth time, of which she won five.
Actor Shahine El Hamus has also been nominated twice; as Best Actor in a TV Series (Dear mum) and Best Actor in a Movie (The Pisa promise). It is the first time that El Hamus has a chance to win the statue.
