Varicose veins

To slow down the process of varicose veins, it is important to get as much exercise as possible – and walking falls into this category, avoid sitting too much or wearing high heels and wear compression stockings. Another habit that helps is to sleep with your feet propped up so that they are higher than the rest of your body.

Back pain

Perhaps the most common health problem of pregnant women is back pain, especially in the last trimester of pregnancy. This is absolutely normal, as the ligaments become softer during this period and the weight of the fetus puts additional pressure on the back. Prevention of this pain can only be done to a small extent by avoiding lifting heavy objects or by wearing shoes without heels. If pain occurs, turn to massages, warm baths or light back exercises.

Bleeding gums

Problems also occur in the oral cavity, due to increased blood flow in the body, but also due to hormonal changes. Thus, in the case of some pregnant women, the gums become more sensitive to tartar and inflammation and bleeding occurs. In this situation, it is advisable to go directly to the dentist for a professional hygiene, which can be carried out without risk by pregnant women.
