Heifer tartare withdrawn from the shelves due to the presence of salmonella


A new notice of immediate withdrawal of food products from store shelves has been released in the past few hours by the Ministry of Health for some packs of heifer adult bovine tartare. The withdrawal, ordered as always as a precaution by the same producer, was triggered due to a possible microbiological risk for consumers. In particular, as stated in the notice published on the Ministry portal in the section dedicated to safety warnings and Recalls of food products by operators, the recall of the entire lot was necessary for the presence of Salmonella spp in some analyzed samples of packaged meat.

As stated in the notice that dates back to 7 August but published by the ministry only on Monday, some 200-gram packs of adult Bovino Tartare – scottona produced for Lidl Italia by the company Marfisi Carni srl in the Contrada Paglieroni plant are affected by the recall. in Treglio, in the province of Chieti, (identification code IT S2X49 CE) and sold in the stores of the same supermarket chain. In particular, the recall relates to meat packages with lot number 507007 and expiration date set at 14 August 2020. As always in these cases the manufacturer has already withdrawn the packages concerned but for those who have already purchased the product with the lot and expiry date indicated above the invitation and not to consume it and return it to the point of sale for the refund which will take place even without the presentation of the receipt.
