AndDr. Menen Abdel-Maksoud said that, according to the statistics of the General Secretariat for Mental Health and Addiction Treatment, the number of visitors to the platform, since its launch, has reached 57,817 visitors, while the number of electronic questionnaires that were conducted by users reached 18,567 questionnaires, while the number of treatment sessions « Virtual », which was provided to visitors to the platform 3654 sessions.
The Secretary-General of the Secretariat of Mental Health and Addiction Treatment added that the percentage of female users reached 70% compared to 30% of males, adding that visitors to the platform included 19% of married couples, compared to 81% of unmarried couples..
She emphasized that most of the age groups using the platform ranged from 15 to 25 years, while the percentage of non-working users reached 64% compared to 36% of workers, adding that the site’s users were from all governorates, but most of them were from Cairo..
She indicated that the national electronic platform for mental health and addiction treatment aims to provide free mental health and addiction treatment services for all age groups, Egyptians and non-Egyptians residing in Egypt, explaining that the platform is the first of its kind in the Eastern Mediterranean region..
