Dr. Menen Abdel Maqsoud, Secretary General of Mental Health and Addiction Treatment, has announced that a specialized team has been assigned to provide psychological support for three categories, namely, cases of Covid-19 virus infection, treatment teams, and different community groups.
In a statement today, Abdel-Maksoud added that meetings were held with the various departments of the Ministry of Health and Population and with several international and local agencies working in the field of mental health and psychological support as well as many psychiatric departments in Egyptian universities to announce the opening of cooperation with individuals and entities that wish to cooperate Subscriber.
She clarified that the parties agreed to provide psychological support through text messages sent to therapeutic teams for motivation and support, in cooperation with the Central Unit for Health Care Providers of the Ministry, as well as through direct communication with the directors of Al-Hajar Hospitals Healthy To find out the therapeutic needs of psychosocial teams and also a set of educational messages and videos on the Facebook page of the General Secretariat of Mental Health addiction treatment.
These steps are mandated by the Minister of Health and Population and in the framework of the efforts made by the Egyptian government to combat the Corona virus (Covid-19) and from the standpoint of providing psychological support to all groups of society, especially in the current period in which some precautionary measures were taken to protect citizens.
