Moving is allowed in these unusual times. The Federal Council announced this. But who now sits on packed reins boxes still has unanswered questions. BLICK is there when moving under corona conditions. The following applies: a minimum distance of two meters. In addition, all hygiene measures should be observed.

March is an important month for moving companies: Usually around 50,000 people move at the end of the month. This should also be possible during the exceptional situation in Switzerland. According to Federal Councilor Guy Parmelin (60) a “cascade of delays” can be prevented.

Gloves, disinfectants, no handshake
In practice, this is how it looks at the moving company Züri Transport: employees wear gloves, disinfectants were distributed among them. Samir Ferati, the company’s relocation expert, says to BLICK: “There is no hand greeting and there is a distance of two meters.” In addition, only two moving helpers drive together in the company’s delivery vans – a third comes with a car.
–
You can still feel uncertainty among customers. «We also have customers who have postponed the move date from April to March. Because they are afraid that the total curfew will come in April, »explains Samir Ferati. So far, however, the Federal Council has not commented in this direction. Instead, Guy Parmelin even extends the payment arrears for residential and commercial rents from 30 to 90 days. (euc)

Protection against corona virus
Recommendations from the Federal Office of Public Health on how you can protect yourself:
wash your hands Wash your hands regularly with soap and water or use a hand disinfectant.
Don’t sneeze in your hands Sneeze or cough into a handkerchief; or if you don’t have one, in the crook of your arm.
Dispose of tissues correctly Handkerchiefs should be disposed of in a closed waste bin after use.
Minimize contact Avoid contact with people who have difficulty breathing or coughing.
Avoid large crowds, such as sporting events or public transportation. Staying at home is currently the “most important thing” so that more and more people don’t get infected. You should only go outside in exceptional cases.
Have everything that is possible delivered to your home. Important: no greeting kisses, no hugs, no shaking hands. And always keep a distance of one meter.
When should you see a doctor? If you experience symptoms (difficulty breathing, coughing or fever), do not go out in public and contact a doctor or health care facility immediately – first by telephone.
have patience The situation will remain so until further notice. If you feel safe and healthy and therefore storm forward, you risk prolonging your condition. Therefore, keep calm and sit down together. (SDA)
