MAYOR OF KRICHIM AND DRIVER MIRACULOUSLY SURVIVE BRUTAL ACCIDENT INVOLVING TWO GOODS TRUCKS

The mayor of Krichim, Atanas Kalchev, and his driver miraculously survived the brutal accident. The official car in which they were traveling was crushed on both sides by two goods trucks.

Mayor Atanas Kalchev told bTV that the incident happened in the afternoon. Both traveled from Plovdiv to Krichim. There was traffic. Suddenly they were hit from behind by a truck.

After impact, the mayor’s car crashed into another heavy duty vehicle that was moving in front of them. The car was crushed, and the two and the driver left unharmed.

“I thank the Lord God and the Mother of God for keeping me alive and well from the bad road accident that I and my driver got into today,” Mayor Atanas Kalchev wrote on social media social.

“On the holidays before Easter, miracles happen, and today was one for me. With God’s favor, it is clear that we still have a need in this world, as long as he keeps us unharmed! I thank friends, relatives and acquaintances far and wide who found out about the real accident and called me for sympathy and support”, said Kalchev.

This is the second accident of the day between a truck and a car.

Earlier a man died after being hit by a driver on a gas train that tested positive for drugs. The accident happened near the village of Vratsa in Dolna Kremena on the national road between Mezdra and Roman.

The driver of the car died, his female passenger was taken to hospital. They had to cut the sheets to get them out.

The tanker driver was tested for alcohol and drugs. His drug screen tested positive for benzodiazepine.
