The great artist Abbas Fares, according to the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Qabas, married a British woman after stipulating that she should convert to Islam as a condition of marrying him, so she agreed immediately, and declared her Islam, and came with him to Egypt, and gave birth to his son Jamal, and Abbas Fares taught her himself Islam.

Abbas Fares’ wife died, so he married his sister after converting to Islam as well, she lived with him and raised her sister’s son, as she gave birth to his second son Islam.

The death of Abbas Fares

He spent 5 years without any work, at that time he specialized in calling to God, and he went to cafes and clubs calling people to the Islamic religion. Abbas Faris was a mystic, leaving the Qur’an only in front of the camera.

In his late days, he suffered from loneliness and neglect until he died alone in his house in Abbasiya in 1978, 5 years before the death of his son Gamal.
