The Central Bureau of Arms of the Boraine police was contacted following the discovery of two shells dating from the Second World War. In Frameries, a man had discovered the two objects while tidying up the house of his late mother-in-law. They are actually two 25mm anti-tank shells, probably French. The situation could turn out to be dangerous. And for good reason: they were still being to operate. Therefore, the police expert in weapons took all the necessary precautions to move them and store them in a safe place. The Defense Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Destruction Service (SEDEE) came for these two shells which each measured 23 centimeters in height.
Contact the police!
If a shell or ammunition is found, what to do? You have to keep calm first. Above all, do not touch or move the objects in question. And do not hesitate to contact the Boraine police zone on 065/619 600 which in turn will telephone SEDEE.
