A 51-year-old man was sentenced to three years in prison for having sexually abused his young daughter at his house in the Buenos Aires town of El Jagüel, Esteban Echeverría district, and received the benefit of an unusual probation: you will have to donate 10 liters of milk per year to a school or community soup kitchen in your area.
The ruling was issued by the Oral Criminal Court (TOC) 10 of Lomas de Zamora, headed by Judge Susana Silvestrini, who found the man guilty of the crime of “sexual abuse aggravated by the relationship.”
The magistrates ordered a prohibition of contact with the victim, without the presence of the mother, one of the promoters of the complaint that ended with the man’s conviction.
The attacks against the minor, who is currently 12 years old, occurred between 2012 and 2013, when the convict was 42 years old and his daughter, 3.
Monica Galvan, a member of the Provincial Network for Women Free of Violence, repudiated the sentence. The member of the organization who accompanied the victim’s mother’s claim, in dialogue with ElDiarioSur.com, said: “This ruling of Justice is aberrant, offensive. It’s completely embarrassing and shows a lot of lack of perspective“.
The sentence cannot be appealed. But, shortly after the ruling, the victim’s older sister reported that the degenerate had also abused her a few years ago.
If this new case advances, the Justice must review the procedural situation of the 51-year-old man.
The second complainant is the stepdaughter of the depraved, with whom he lived for years when the abuser was in a relationship with his mother.
