Hawaii ticket for Böhler
Triathlete Annick Böhler qualified for the 2023 Ironman World Championship in Hawaii. She announced it her club, Turnerschaft Langenau. At the Ironman in Cascais, Portugal, she finished third overall in the women’s competition and won the age group 30-34. After 3.8 kilometers of swimming (1: 07: 30/21 °), 180 kilometers of cycling (5: 18: 30/2 °) and the marathon of over 42 kilometers (3: 27: 48/3 hours) °) reach the goal in 10:04:46 hours. French Floriane Jeannin (9:58:55) won ahead of Czech Helena Kotopulu (9:59:57). In the overall male and female standings, Böhler obtained the 122nd place out of 1346 starters.

A week after their 5:13 defeat at EHC Binningen, the EHC Herrischried ice hockey team found success in the third Swiss Regio League. In front of 460 spectators, the Hotzenwalders defeated Aargau Stars II 4: 3 (2: 0, 0: 3, 1: 0, 0: 0) after penalties. The home side’s goals were scored by Petr Teuber, Lukas Vlk and Stefan Ruess (the Italian player’s first league goal) and Klaus Bächle converted the decisive penalty.
