Hauts-de-Seine. Five men in pre-trial detention after police assault in Bagneux

Direction the prison awaiting their judgment. Five men were remanded in custody Thursday March 11, 2021 after the assault of two police officers in Bagneux (Hauts-de-Seine) Tuesday early evening.

Judgment in May

These five people, between 18 and 23 years old, are suspected of having participated in the violence committed against the two officials at avenue Paul Vaillant Couturier while they were arresting a man who had refused to submit to a check and whom they had been pursuing since neighboring town of Cachan (Val de Marne).

While around 40 people surrounded them, one of the two police officers used his service weapon four times, firing in the air to disperse the crowd. Injured, the second policeman was taken to hospital. The trial of the alleged assailants will take place on May 6.
