Asked during a passage on the continuous news channel CNEWS on March 14, David Le Bars reported a certain partiality of firefighters in the treatment of the wounded, during the demonstrations of the past weeks.
The Secretary General of the Syndicate of National Police Commissioners (SCPN) accused the firefighters of Haute-Corse of not having intervened quickly enough to rescue the police officers injured during the Bastia incidents, Sunday March 13. Words immediately denounced by the firefighters on the same day as well as by local elected officials. Tuesday, March 22, Hyacinthe Vanni, President of the Haute-Corse Fire and Rescue Service has filed a complaint against David Le Bars.
