Haugesund, Karmøy | Birger (28) will fight for Linni Meister’s heart in a new reality series: – Tired of being single

Birger Heimdal from Avaldsnes is one of Linni Meister’s suitors in a new TV series that starts at the end of January.

KARMØY / GRIMSTAD: The feedback has been overwhelming. Even former girlfriends wish me luck and say they are looking forward to following.

On Tuesday, the participants in the new series on TVNorge and Discovery + “Linni is looking for the dream prince” were released.

The concept of the upcoming series is simple;

Ten suitors, which consist of both previous TV profiles and new personalities, move into a cabin in Kragerø.

They have only one thing in common: They want to be the man in Linni Meister’s life.

– Why not?

Among the participants we find 28-year-old Birger Heimdal from Avaldsnes. Karmøybuen currently lives in Grimstad and works as a general manager at HTH in the neighboring town of Arendal.

It was Karmøynytt as first mentioned the case.

Heimdal was living with a friend when he suddenly came across the application for the dating program.

I thought why not? Linni seemed like an incredibly bubbly lady with lots of energy. In addition, I thought it would have been nice with a free holiday, he tells Haugesunds Avis.

So the outgoing karmøybuen decided to submit an application in the early summer, without much hesitation.

I was so tired of being single. In addition to the corona. At that time, I had just sold the house and completed my studies, and was without a job, he explains.

Himself 100 percent

The 28-year-old admits that it was a bit special to move into a cabin with nine other suitors last summer, where a camera team would simultaneously capture almost every minute of the day.

At first I wondered what I had embarked on. But it was just incredibly fun, he comments.

Heimdal still understands how other reality participants have described exactly that experience before.

You’re going into a bubble. At the same time, it can feel completely different to actually be there. Contrary to how it is presented on the TV screen in retrospect, he points out.

Karmøybuen is nevertheless confident that he will be portrayed as who he is.

I’ve been myself absolutely all along. And have no reason to be anyone else, either. It will also come out well in some of the interviews. I do not hide who I am, he smiles.

Been to the screen before

The 28-year-old says that he has a flair for the media show around such a series – and also brings with him some TV experience from the past.

For some, the karmøybuen is often recognizable from both “Idol” in two different seasons, as well as the music competition “The Stream” in 2016.

The music calmed down a bit after that. I probably put it on the shelf while I studied. But now I have just refurbished a house in Grimstad and got my studio there, he says.

But actually dating on TV, Heimdal has never done before. He admits that it was not just just.

I am still left with an experience I would never have been without. I have established good ties with the other participants and the entire production, he brags.

Comes with tiny hints

What viewers can expect, however, is still a secret.

People can only rejoice. Linni surprised me very much. I can not say so much more, he answers.

And adds a little hint:

As you can see in the picture, it is a beautiful bouquet. And if you look a little closer at it, a little revelation can be hidden there, says the karmøy arch, without revealing anything more.

The series premieres on January 24 on TVNorge and Discovery +.
