HOUSTON, Texas. – Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez identified Bruce Watson as the sergeant who died in accident motorcycle on Saturday afternoon.

Watson, a 20-year veteran of HCSO, was heading home after escorting a funeral procession when he was involved in an accident in the Pearland area. He was taken to a local hospital and later pronounced dead.

It was later reported that the officer died, so far he has not been identified.

“Preliminary information: The sergeant had finished escorting a funeral procession and was heading home on his motorcycle when he was involved in the crash in the Peralend area,” Sheriff Gonzalez said.
