Not one, but two teams. According to ESPN, Hard Knocks will honor the two Los Angeles teams, Rams and Chargers, for its 2020 edition.
The two franchises are said to have volunteered due to their move into their new compound in Inglewood. If the information is confirmed, it will be the first time that the program will film two teams in the same season. For the Chargers, this would be their first appearance, while the Rams have already been highlighted in 2016.
The NFL should have announced it last week at the league’s annual meeting. But this was canceled due to the Covid-19 crisis. No formalization is planned this week. The league is currently focused on the heavy virtual draft project.
The HBO show remains on hold, however, due to the rapidly spreading epidemic in the United States. Developments could force the NFL to cancel training camps and preseason.
For the first time, Hard Knocks is planning to supersize and feature two teams this summer: the Los Angeles Rams and the Los Angeles Chargers, league sources tell ESPN.*
