Hamburg (dpa / lno) – The Hamburg Towers have made their ninth victory in the 13th game perfect in the basketball Bundesliga. The team of coach Pedro Calles prevailed on Saturday evening in the arena in Hamburg-Wilhelmsburg with 98:70 (74:53, 53:38, 35:18) against the Fraport Skyliners from Frankfurt. The best Towers thrower was Kameron Taylor with 20 points.
The Towers found it difficult in the first few minutes to stop the offensive actions of the Hessians, but were able to break away at 31:18 by the first quarter break. Johannes Richter came on the field for the first time after 6:30 minutes and made his home debut with the Hanseatic League. In the middle of the second quarter, the Towers lost control and suffered a 9-0 series. But until the break, the Hamburgers again made a clear gap.
The Hanseatic League was several times ahead with 22 points up to the final section. Terry Allen and Kameron Taylor finished another intermediate sprint for the guests with a three-point each to make it 86:67 and thus made the preliminary decision.
