Hamburg – The man is great: Erwin (86) can do online banking, likes to watch videos on YouTube and is now a TikTok star too!
How did this happen?
His geriatric nurse Rashid (29) wanted to advertise his outpatient nursing service on social media and immediately thought of Erwin: “He’s funny, in a good mood – we’re always laughing.”

He explains to the pensioner what TikTok is. And Ervin? He’s on fire right away: “I look forward to every visit from Rashid – and to every video.” In which the former professional soldier philosophizes about love, cosmetic surgeries for women or just cracks jokes.
Goes down great with users. After two months they have with their account “ pflege.smile“almost 50,000 followers on TikTok! 100,000 is their goal.
If Erwin is a little unsteady on his feet, Rashid will help him
Touching: It cannot be overlooked that the two are now also best friends. Erwin: “We have agreed to call once a day. Also on Sundays on the day off.”
So that Rashid knows everything is okay: “We talk about all sorts of things, I learn a lot from him.”
Rashid or one of his employees comes to Erwin in the mornings and evenings from Monday to Saturday. Main task: putting on and taking off socks.

By the way: the smart pensioner has a girlfriend across the street. “She’s 91 and cooks really well,” he enthuses. They met at church six years ago.
