“Our soldiers accompany the freed hostages to hospitals, where their relatives are waiting for them,” the IDF said in a statement.
According to updated data, the Palestinian group released 17 people: 13 Israelis and four citizens of other countries. Earlier, there were reports of Hamas’s intention to transfer 20 hostages to Israel.
According to the agreement, Israel, in turn, must release a number of Palestinian prisoners.
These exchanges take place as part of the ceasefire between Hamas and Israel in the Gaza Strip that started on Friday.
