Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech returned to training with Chelsea on Thursday after his loan move to Paris St-Germain fell through, Blues coach Graham Potter has said.
The transfer was blocked by the Professional Football League (LFP), the governing body of French football, because the documents necessary to complete the transaction were not submitted in time, according to the British press.
“Hakim is back. He trained this morning,” Potter said at the press conference ahead of the Fulham showdown. “He’s a professional. He understands, he’s committed and he’s available,” said the technician, assuring that the 29-year-old winger “will be an important player for the rest of the season”.
After 20 days, Chelsea are tenth in the English football championship, 10 points from fourth place in the Champions League.
