Had 4 Thousand Deaths a Day, Now the US Records 749 Died of Corona

Washington DC – The number of daily deaths due to Corona virus infection at United States of America (US) continues to decline. For the first time in nearly three and a half months, daily cases of death were due to infection Corona (COVID-19) there were less than 1,000 cases as of Monday (8/3) local time.

As reported AFP, On Tuesday (9/3/2021), according to Johns Hopkins University, in the last 24 hours, 749 people died from the Corona virus, far below the record 4,473 deaths in a day recorded on January 12.

The daily death toll in the US has not been below a thousand since November 29, 2020, when 822 people died in a day.

This figure shows that the epidemic slowdown continues on United States of America, where infection and death rates have fallen to the same levels as before Halloween, Thanksgiving, and other year-end holidays. Previously, these holidays had caused a spike in spread corona virus in that country.

This slowdown is good news for the President Joe Biden, following US $ 1.9 trillion in COVID-19 assistance successfully approved by the US Senate on Saturday (6/3) and will scale up a large-scale vaccination strategy.

The US vaccine campaign launched in December 2020 is now in full swing, with nearly 10 percent of America’s population – about 31.5 million people – having received the two injection doses needed for either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or one shot of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

The US health agency CDC also expressed optimism when it announced that fully vaccinated people could meet in small groups indoors without wearing masks or keeping their distance.

However, they still have to carry out preventive procedures in front of unvaccinated people and in public spaces.
