Guatemala extradites ‘El Compadre’ to the United States

Pablo Tabares Martínez, alias “El Compadre”, of Mexican nationality, was transferred by elements of the Civil national police (PNC) and agents of the General Directorate of the Penitentiary System (DGSP), from the Mariscal Zavala prison, zone 17 of the capital, to the Guatemalan Air Force (FAG), zone 13 of Guatemala City, to hand him over to the authorities of United States of America.

This extradition process culminated with the delivery of alias “El Compadre” to the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). This individual was wanted by US justice for the crimes of conspiracy to possess with the intention of distributing 500 grams or more of methamphetamine in the territory of the North American country.

Tabares Martínez was captured on March 22 of this year by elements of the General Subdirectorate of Anti-Narcotics Information Analysis (SGAIA) of the PNC, after a tactical operation developed in support of the Public Ministry (MP) in zone 1 of the city. Tecún Umán, Ayutla, San Marcos.
