Eelde airport says it can carry out two extra flights per hour. According to director Meiltje de Groot, no applications have yet been received for this. De Groot states that he has sufficient baggage and security personnel to take on the extra flights. ‘We have offered this because we see that pressure is developing at Schiphol. We would be sorry if people had to cancel their holidays when we have the capacity.’
