Episode 9 of season 8 d’Arrow served as pilot for a potential spin-off. Entitled Green Arrow and the Canaries, this new series focuses on the life of Mia, Laurel and Dinah in 2040 … Suffice to say that this penultimate episode left all the fans d’Arrow on multiple questions. However, since its release in January, the fate of this spin-off is still uncertain. It was neither ordered nor canceled by the CW … But then, when will we know the future of this series which would continue the legacy of Oliver Queen? Arrow showrunner Marc Guggenheim has made some revelations about it!

In regards to Green Arrow and the Canaries, The CW might finally be on the verge of making a decision about the series, as network president Mark Pedowitz recently reassured fans that they are still considering his future, while former Arrow showrunner , Marc Guggenheim, responded to a concerned fan on Twitter : “We should receive a word – one way or another – very, very soon.”. The fate of the spin-off of Arrow, Green Arrow and the Canaries should soon be sealed. In any case, if the project sees the light of day, we should expect a broadcast only in 2021, at best, due to the coronavirus pandemic which has delayed all filming for the CW series ( and other networks).
