FOUR family members were shot dead by a man with a knife in a ‘bloodbath’ at their home early yesterday.
The 64-year-old Dolet Hill Hospital maid, her longtime partner, daughter and granddaughter all died in the horror of 1.30am, a relative has revealed.
Police arrested a man in his late 20s – who was known to the victims – at the house and last night he was questioned on suspicion of murder.
Neighbors in Bermondsey, south London, heard screams coming from the terraced house before police arrived.
Armed officers broke into the three-bed house and found the victims stabbed.
A neighbor said: “I was watching TV when I heard a woman screaming for about five minutes.

“It was horrible. When I heard the police, the helicopter and the ambulances, I knew it was really serious.
“The police were armed. They surrounded the area.
Another local said: “Lots of police and paramedics worked on the victims outside. It was carnage. »
Police erected four forensic tents in the street outside the house, close to the Millwall FC ground.
A member of the Venecia Reid family attended the scene and confirmed that Dolet, her aunt Denton Burke’s partner, Dolet’s daughter Tanysha Drummond and granddaughter Samantha Drummond, 27, had died.
Neighbors said Dolet, who works at St Thomas’ Hospital in central London, and Denton were “lovely people”.
Met Chief Superintendent Colin Wingrove confirmed the victims died at the ‘appalling’ scene despite the efforts of police and paramedics.
He confirmed a man had been arrested at the home on suspicion of murder and said detectives were not looking for anyone else.
He added: “We believe everyone involved may have known each other.
“It’s a terrible incident. Such terrible events are rare, but I know this will not lessen the shock that will be felt in London and the rest of the country. »

Mayor of London Sadiq Khan said: “My thoughts are with the family and friends of those who have lost loved ones to this horrific crime.”
Local MP Harriet Harman attended the scene and said: “Four people were killed. It’s shocking anywhere, but especially in this very peaceful, quiet and very sedentary community.
