The total amount committed for all the achievements of the PSGOUV 2 government’s social program during the first half of 2022 stood at CFAF 171.3 billion at the end of June, representing an execution rate of 39.3%.

The information was given by the government spokesman, Amadou Coulibaly, also Minister of Communication and the Digital Economy, at the end of the Council of Ministers, on Wednesday August 03, 2022 in Abidjan.

In terms of access to quality health care, the first half of the year made it possible to offer delivery kits to 119,101 women, caesarean sections and general anesthesia or spinal anesthesia kits to 9,623 women. It should also be noted that there has been an improvement in access to blood since the capping decision was adopted by capping this price at 3,000 FCFA per pocket.

In the education sector, said the government spokesperson, the main results recorded during the first half of 2022 show the integration into the Civil Service of almost all of the 10,300 contract teachers recruited from Psgouv. 1. These results make it possible to note the reception of 24 local colleges out of the 288 planned.

Speaking of electrification and drinking water supply, Amadou Coulibaly noted the electrification of 277 localities in fragile areas, the rehabilitation of 1,106 human-powered pumps (PMH) out of 2,708 planned and the maintenance of 10,639 PMH.

The challenges for the third quarter, noted the government spokesperson, relate mainly to the generalization of Universal Health Coverage, the improvement of blood traceability, the acceleration of procurement for the deployment of the program of road maintenance and the continuation of empowerment programs in fragile areas.
