Goran Djuricin is no longer the coach of …

Goran Djuricin’s reign at the helm of the Grasshoppers will remain one of the shortest in club history: three months and two league games.

The new leaders of the Zurich club have decided to separate from the 45-year-old Austrian coach. They announced in a statement their decision not to extend his contract, which ran until the end of May. The team’s leadership has been assigned to his assistant, Zoltan Kadar. Aged 54, the Romanian joined the Grasshoppers in 2011, where he held various positions.

The Grasshoppers are third in the Challenge League standings. They have the same number of points as FC Vaduz, but they are 15 lengths behind Lausanne-Sport.

Goran Djuricin succeeded Uli Forte last February to lead the team when Kriens (0-1) and Schaffhausen (3-0) came. The championship was then interrupted due to the coronavirus pandemic.
