Phenomenal success for the job dating of the future largest Adidas outlet store in Ile-de-France (1,247 m2), at the Usines center shopping center in Gonesse. At 11 am this Wednesday morning, there were about sixty of them waiting in Indian lines to meet one of the four recruiters present at the entrance to the outlet center.

The decision to organize this recruitment was taken by the brand only ten days ago and 500 flyers were distributed at the mall on Saturday. “It’s great,” says Emmanuelle Gaye Pouedras, HR representative for Adidas. This is the first time that we have organized a job dating outside the traditional channels, inside a shopping center. It’s more relaxed and efficient. “

“The recruiter allowed me to talk to her”

“I heard about it by word of mouth. The recruiter allowed me to talk to her, she looked nice and reflects the Adidas brand well, I felt at ease, ”said a student from Gonesse, who debriefs the interview with her girlfriend. She will have waited standing for an hour for ten minutes of discussion but leaves satisfied. Here, no question of submitting his CV. Recruitment is done via a list of questions: “It’s easier to talk about your curriculum vitae orally”.

On the day, between 150 and 200 candidates were expected for only ten positions, knowing that the store will have 22 employees in total. “But there are permanent offers, assures Emmanuelle Gaye Pouedras. This type of event makes it possible to identify profiles which, if they are not taken this time and are mobile, can be contacted again to work in other stores ”.

Use of local associations

The HR representative turned in particular to the Espoir et Création de Garges association and the Arnouville-Gonesse employment center to find candidates. “Adidas is very committed to the topics of diversity and inclusion. Relying on local associations represents real added value because it is a pledge of mutual trust, ”she believes.

David, in impeccable costume, applied through the social center of Villiers-le-Bel. “We had an information meeting beforehand on Monday. It was super simple, I came at 10am this morning to open and despite the crowds I managed to make my way through and pass after five minutes. I had prepared well for my interview, I researched the brand. I am serious because a job is serious. »Confident, the young man considers« to have given the best of himself ».

For Naomi, from Garges, the goal is to find a student job alongside her BTS in social and family economy. She also very prepared, the young woman admits “having been stressed at the start”. “It puts less pressure than being within the four walls of an office. And then when you see the different profiles, you tell yourself that you are not the only one with the leaflet, ”she smiles.

The brand will open on August 27 but hires are made from August 1 to allow future salespeople to integrate the brand’s codes into other stores.
