Gollum, a surprising link with Star Wars
As we know, his physical appearance is a determining factor in Gollum’s character. Transformed by the fact of having lived a very long time and by the negative influence of the One Ring, he had been wonderfully embodied by Andy Serkis on the big screen.
But it is now the author George Mann who has just given it a new dimension with his book Star Wars : Dark Legends. While tackling pop-culture myths, Lucasfilm has already recognized that there is a dimension of reality in each of its stories.
However, in one of them, we follow a character named Dark Noctyss, who goes to a planet called Exegol, in search of immortality. On this planet, there is only one living being. And the author’s description of it bears a real resemblance to Gollum.
The miserable thing exposed by the crimson light of his blade posed no threat, for it was a broken, arched creature — the remnants of what may once have been a man but was now only a wild beast. . His spine was twisted at an unusual angle, causing him to lean forward so that his left shoulder fell almost to his knees. His flesh was pale and translucent, wrinkled and wrinkled so that his immense age was obvious but illegible. His filandre hair fell in locks on the side of his face, soft and thick with dirt. He wore only rags that could once have been shaped like clothes.
Dark Noctyss, then discovers the hard way that it is in fact another Sith Lord who has found a method to obtain eternal life. She in turn transforms into a kind of Gollum from the Star Wars universe, corrupted by this transformation.
