GOG removes Hitman from range after criticism for DRM – Gaming – News

Is Gwent a single player game, or mainly online multiplayer? Hitman is in fact a completely single player game, and all escalations and such are simply downloaded via updates, so no internet connection should be needed.
All you should need an internet connection for is the contracts created by users themselves, and just maybe for the elusive targets (only once, and not permanently).
But there is always-online DRM in Hitman so that you completely lose most replayability.

Of course, in an online multiplayer game you need a connection, since that’s the whole game.
In the single player game Hitman, if you lose the connection to IOI’s servers, even if it is on their side, you are given the option to either wait for the connection to be restored, or to save and go back to the main menu. So you can’t continue playing unless you do the basic missions with the basic equipment, because that’s the only thing you can do without an internet connection. And that limit actually takes all the replayability out of the game, which the game was designed for.
