At the end of his anticipated testimony, Álex Palacios said that when he entered Prison 4, in the north of Quito, Wilman Terán threatened to kill him if he spoke anything about what he knew. At the beginning of the tax investigation, in mid-December 2023, both were sent to Prison 4, but shortly after they were separated, sending Palacios to the Cotopaxi CPL. Terán has been in the La Roca maximum security prison since March 30, 2024.
