Naya Rivera’s death certificate attests that the young woman drowned “in a few minutes”.
Ten days after her body was found in Lake Piru, Naya Rivera was buried. She rests in California, where she was born in 1987 and where she was accidentally killed during a boat trip with her 4-year-old son on July 8. The funeral of the one who became known for her role as the cheerleader Santana Lopez in the series “Glee” took place on July 24 in the Glendale cemetery in North Los Angeles, according to her certificate of death.

The document, obtained by the magazine “People”, also gives details on the disappearance of the young woman. She died “in a few minutes”, says text which confirms that drowning is the only cause of her death.
It would have taken five days for help to find Naya Rivera’s body. An important search device had been set up to locate it with divers and helicopters. She had suddenly disappeared after having rented a pontoon boat on which she had boarded with her son, Josey. Three hours later, the child was found alone asleep on the boat with his life jacket on. His mother’s life jacket was found on board. “Josey and Naya swam in the lake together. It was during this swim that her son said he was helped by Naya to get back on the boat. He told investigators that he looked behind him and saw her disappear under the surface of the water, Ventura County Sheriff Bill Ayub said on Monday. We believe she found the strength to get her son back on the boat but not enough to save herself ”.
On Thursday, Netflix confirmed to Deadline that the 33-year-old actress will make a posthumous appearance in an episode of the “Sugar Rush” baking competition. The young woman served as a juror in a season 3 show, which will be broadcast on Friday.
