Giza Governorate witnessed an unprecedented boom in the roads and bridges sector, according to an expanded plan aimed at developing main and secondary roads and establishing new traffic axes to achieve smooth traffic flow and reduce journey distances in the Greater Cairo region.

In the following lines, “The Seventh Day” explains the most important information about the axes of Lieutenant General Kamal Amer and Omar Ibn Al-Aas, which connect the north and south of Giza, which relieves traffic pressure on the busiest sectors of Giza, especially Faisal and Al-Haram Streets.

Amr ibn al-Aas axis

The axis connects the southern arc of the road The circular (near its intersection with the axis of Mariouteya) and the northern arc of the ring road (in the area of Monshaat El-Bakary).

– The axis is implemented with a length of 4.3 km and a width of 12 traffic lanes, and includes an upper bridge with a width of 21.5 meters (3 traffic lanes in each direction).

The axis contributes to reducing travel time between the east and west of Giza, and relieving traffic pressure on Faisal and Al-Haram streets.

– The axis intersects with the middle of Faisal and Al-Haram Streets, passes through Al-Mababaa Street, and also intersects with (Al-Oruba – Al-Thalathini – Muhammad Anwar Al-Sadat Streets, “Tersa previously”).

After its operation, it will contribute to reducing the arrival time from the Al-Munib area to the Al-Bakari facility and the areas of Al-Tawqiyyah, Faisal and Al-Haram to only 10 minutes.

It is scheduled to be run experimentally next July.

The focus of the team is Kamal Amer

The governorate witnessed the implementation and operation of the axis of Lieutenant General Kamal Amer in the distance from its intersection with the ring road in the Al-Munib area in the south, until its intersection with the ring road in the north in the Imbaba area, with a length of 12 km and a width of (33-65.5) m.

To maximize the benefit from the project, the extension of the axis is being implemented to connect with the Tahya Misr axis in the north, so that the total length of the axis is 15 km.

– The axis connects the main transverse axes (July 26 – League of Arab States – Saft El Laban – Faisal – Al Haram), in addition to the streets (Al Sadr Hospital – Thirtieth – Khatam Al Morsaleen – Imbaba Airport).

The axis shortened the flight time from the Bashtil area to the brigade’s land in only 3 minutes.

The journey time from Bashtil area to Teraet Al-Zomor Street was shortened in only 7 minutes.

The journey time for those coming from the Ring Road to Al-Munib (Al-Bahr Al-A’zam) to Gamaet El-Dewal Al-Arab Street was shortened within 4 minutes.

The journey time from Omrania to Mohandessin to Tahya Misr axis (Shubra) is shortened to approximately 7 minutes.

The axis shortened the distance from Major General land area To Arab League Street in less than two minutes.
