Giant rosary made in balloons elevated Senhora da Graça in the skies of Braga

Elisa Lacerda, 28, gave life to two solidarity boxes for the collection and exchange of food in the city of Braga, to help those most in need during this time of the 19-pandemic pandemic.

Located on Rua de São Jerónimo, in Real, and Rua das Pocinhas, in São Vicente, these boxes allow anyone to place food to help those most in need. It is also possible to exchange one type of food for another, if necessary.

O MINHO, from Braga, human resources manager at the company Adecco, tells how the idea came up: “My husband and I were wanting to help those who needed it most but we didn’t know how. Our time is not much, because although we have been teleworking for 5 weeks, we had an extra job and we still have our one and a half year old daughter ”, contextualizes.

“Yesterday when we saw the story[issuedthisSaturdayat[emitidaestesábadonaSIC]about the solidarity boxes, we saw that this was how we were going to be able to help. This morning I took care of everything and placed two boxes, one where I live and the other where I lived most of my life ”, explains Elisa.

To bring the boxes to life, the young woman from Braga researched the group of Facebook Cashier. “I printed it at home, bought two boxes, because I didn’t have one, I gathered essential food and put everything in the proper places”, he says.

Elisa knows that, so far, there have been more people depositing food, not knowing if anyone has already used the solidarity action that is going around the country.

“So far, I only know that they went there to deposit more food. I heard it through social media. As it was this morning, I have not yet had the opportunity to know if they had already taken it. I hope you can come and get it soon. We will continue to supply ”, vinca.

Elisa also says that, since she published photos on social networks, “some people have already asked to come here to put food, and others have asked for help to make the box in other places in Braga”.

Facebook group shows boxes across the country

A Nacional level, there is already a group on Facebook with more than 25 thousand members where replicas of the initiative carried out across the country are published. Unfortunately, some of the boxes have already been stolen.

Another publication shows a thank you note from someone who is having a hard time in the face of limitations in the economy and jobs that he has been feeling since mid-March, causing hunger in some homes.

“Nowadays, covid-19 or not, we are always busy with the hustle and bustle that is life. But if we manage to help someone in the midst of this turmoil, even though we don’t know who that someone is, we already know that we have contributed to the good in this world ”, concludes Elisa Dias.

Jovem de Vizela creates ‘food box’ for those “who are feeling sick and are ashamed to ask”

It should be remembered that yesterday, a young woman from Vizela also placed a box of this kind next to the local GNR post, in order to “help those in need but are ashamed to ask”. This box has already been replicated, with the parish of Infias, in the same municipality, creating two boxes.
