Giant fire in skyscraper United Arab Emirates

The fire in the 190-meter-high Abbco Tower started around 9 a.m. local time. Nothing is yet known about the cause. According to Gulf News the building has more than forty floors, of which 36 are inhabited. Each floor would consist of twelve apartments.

Under control

The area around the skyscraper is spacious, and peepholes are kept as far away as possible. The fire is now under control.

Several drones and at least twelve fire trucks have been involved in extinguishing the fire, reports a reporter from the Khaleej Times.

Five surrounding buildings have been evacuated. A large number of vehicles around the skyscraper have been damaged by falling debris.
