Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin revealed that the fate of the Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) application will be announced directly by President Joko Widodo on Friday (30/12/2022). This follows President Jokowi’s statement regarding the possibility of repealing the Level 1 PPKM in Indonesia.
“There is an update (PPKM), Mr. President will hold a press conference on Friday. So it will be the same with me later,” Budi said at Harapan Kita Hospital, West Jakarta on Thursday (12/29).
The revocation is due to the COVID-19 case which has been gradually improving in recent times and is under control.
Earlier, the Coordinating Minister for Policy, Law and Security, Mahfud MD, also hinted that the PPKM was likely to be repealed in Indonesia in early January 2023.
According to him, almost all regions in Indonesia have been awarded PPKM level 1 status. This means that the control of COVID-19 cases in the regions and the capital has been very good.
